Setting up the theme with demo
Extract the hostdaddy.zip file from the theme zip that you have downloaded from themeforest, this is the main theme file that you need to upload
- Navigate to Appearance > Themes.
- Click “Upload Themes” and hit the browse button.
- Navigate to find the “hostdaddy.zip” file on your computer and click “Install Now” button.
- The theme will be uploaded and installed.
- Activate the newly installed theme by going to Appearance > Themes and activate the installed theme.
To manually upload your new WordPress theme, login with your credentials to your website and locate the wp-content folder in your WordPress install files. Unzip the hostdaddy.zip (the theme only) and upload the un-zipped hostdaddy folder into the: wp-content/themes folder.
Once uploaded, activate the theme by heading to the “Themes” menu in the WordPress Dashboard. Locate the hostdaddy theme and hit “Activate”.
The “hostdaddy” WordPress theme compatible with custom and powerful plugins. When the theme is activated you will see notification to active / install the plugins and activate these plugins from your WordPress dashboard panel. Follow the screen and active these required Plugins.
hostdaddy Elements : The main required plugin for the theme to function correctly and to match up with other plugins and settings.
Elementor Page Builder : The heart of our theme bloggy! The live drag and drop page builder .
Contact form 7 : This plugin is for making contact forms.
Regenerate Thumbnails : If the theme images aren’t working properly/ size is having problem / you installed the theme on old site and the images are breaking , use this plugin to regenerate the images in different size required for the theme
MailChimp for WordPress : News Letter Subscription plugin to get subscription form, needs mailchimp api to be working. See the video bellow for setting mailchimp with wp.
One Click Demo Import : This is a required plugin for your theme to download and set the demo data in the theme
Whmcs Bridge : This plugin is used to communicate with your whmcs insgallation outside of wp and show the client area in your wp site page. You can use this plugin if you think you need it or use the whmcs urls directly. Follow all of our video tutorials to see how to configure it fully .
Redux Framework : This is a must install plugin for the theme to use the custom option panel alone with the hostdaddy elements plugin
Import Posts, Pages and Media Attachments, widget, menu setup all by one click. Please note : Demo import will/ might erase your data & your server must have alloewd max timeout setting to allow demo download
Just click the “Import Demo Data” panel from Appearance menu , and click on the “Import Demo Data” button as shown in the above picture. You will have to wait a bit to see a confirmation massage.
After the demo import do remember to change your logo, favicon from “Theme Option” or “Customizer” .
And for the widgets to work properly do get mailchimp api key , instagram feed api key as shown in the bellow sections videos.
